Student Success Advising for International Students

At UT Dallas, we understand that being an international student comes with unique challenges. That’s why our Senior Immigration Advisor & Student Success Specialist is here to provide both F-1 advising and personalized support to help you navigate academic, personal, and cultural challenges. We also work closely with campus and community partners to ensure you’re connected to the right resources when needed.

What We Can Help With:

Academic Issues	Academic probation, academic integrity issues, suspension, dismissal
Mental Health	Stress, depression, substance use, suicidal thoughts
Safety Concerns	Harassment, stalking, domestic violence, theft, threats
Medical Situations	Illness, injury, hospitalization
Other Challenges	Housing insecurity, financial problems, legal trouble, family emergencies, cultural adjustment issues

What to Expect in an Appointment

Appointments are 30 minutes long and can be held either in person or virtually. During your appointment, we’ll discuss your situation and work together to create an action plan to help you move forward. Our Student Success Specialist takes a case management approach, which means you won’t be left to figure things out on your own.  We will continue working with you until your situation is resolved or a clear path forward is in place. If needed, we’ll also coordinate with other campus offices to make sure you have the right support along the way.

  • Monday and Friday: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
  • Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
